Benjamin Kronk

Having his debut with the National Repertory Orchestra this summer, Benjamin is an active violinist in Montreal where he is pursuing his Master’s with Alexander Read at Mcgill University. He has attended many festivals including the National Repertory Orchestra, the National Orchestral Institute, Prague Summer Nights Festival, and has been invited to the Caroga Lake Music Festival in 2017 and 2018. His recording with the National Orchestral Institute in 2017 is currently nominated for a Grammy for “Best Orchestra Performance”. Previous member of the Andrew Alden Ensemble, Benjamin is a substitute violinist for Symphoria, and with Agora. Born in Minnesota, raised in France and Germany, Benjamin received his bachelor’s from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester New York, under Juliana Athayde. He has also taken lessons and performed in masterclasses with Charles Castleman, Steve Rose, Ivan Zenaty, Joseph Spacek, Axel Strauss, Andrew Wan, and Gilles Henry. He teaches at the Academie de Musique Vivaldi.
