Alex Mayon performs regularly with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and maintains a private trumpet studio in New Orleans. He has also performed with the New World Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, Eastman Wind Ensemble, and as an artist for the Caroga Lake Music Festival and Music Inspire Africa. Recently, he has been a finalist for positions in the Richmond Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Charleston Symphony, and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Some of his achievements include Winner of the International Trumpet Guild Orchestral Excerpts Competition and two-time Winner of the Loyola University Concerto/Aria Competition. Alex holds a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Loyola University New Orleans.
