Valerie Clare Sanders is from Greenfield, WI. She holds a BMus from UW-Madison and earned her Masters in Orchestral Artistry at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, as an apprentice of the London Symphony Orchestra. Currently based in Madison, she is a member of the Madison Symphony Orchestra and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and freelances as performer and teacher throughout Wisconsin and the midwest. Valerie has worked with some of the finest international ensembles, master teachers, and conductors in the world. Her other interests include Alexander technique, writing, photography, and advocacy for musicians’ health through contemporary arts pedagogy, performing arts psychology, and socially engaged arts practice.
