Founding member of the Griffon String Quartet, violist Blakeley Menghini devotes her life to chamber music and teaching in Northeastern Wisconsin.
While earning her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at UW-Madison, she was a member of the graduate Hunt Quartet. She holds a Master of Music and Performer’s Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Her teachers include Sally Chisholm and Tony Devroye.
Passionate about string pedagogy, Blakeley recently wrote a chapter for Humane Music Education for the Common Good, entitled “Rethinking Education: The Four Pillars of Education in the Suzuki Studio.”
When not playing the viola, Blakeley enjoys running, baking, and spending time with her husband and cat.
