Violinist Rebecca Benjamin, a native of Warsaw IN, is an engaging and versatile musician who has made appearances across the United States and abroad. A passionate chamber musician, Rebecca is a member of the Abeo Quartet. The Abeo Quartet is the recipient of the inaugural String Quartet Fellowship at the University of Delaware and recently performed in the finals of the Young Concert Artists auditions. Rebecca has participated in the Perlman Music Program, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Aspen Wu Han/David Finkel Chamber Studio, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and Caroga Lake Music Festival. She has performed in venues from Carnegie Hall to nursing homes and schools, and delights in connecting through music with people of all ages. Internationally, Ms. Benjamin has performed in the Dominican Republic and has participated in the Prussia Cove Masterclasses in Cornwall, England. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Yale School of Music, she has studied with Hyo Kang, Jaime Laredo and Joel Smirnoff, among others. Aside from her musical adventures, Rebecca enjoys hiking and photography.
