Ben Kronk is a sought-after violinist based in Austin. He won this year’s Texas Rising Stars
competition and is the 2022 grand-prize winner of the American Opera Society of Chicago’s.
Previously he performed Prokofiev’s 2nd Violin Concerto with Michael Stern and the National
Repertory Orchestra and has also soloed with the Austin Civic Orchestra, the Central Texas
Medical Orchestra, the Toccoa Symphony, and the Caroga Lake Music Festival. In 2018 he
founded the SouthEastern Young Artists Inc. (SEYA), a chamber music festival bringing artists
to perform chamber music in Georgia. He is a member of the Iris Orchestra under Michael Stern
and plays with the Austin Symphony, Chicago Philharmonic Society, Folks’ Operetta, among
others.
