Originally from St. Paul, MN, Adam Dorn has performed extensively as both a solo and chamber musician, including appearances with the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota and world-renowned pianist Ignacio “Nachito” Herrera. Adam debuted as a soloist with the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra at the age of nine. He has performed in masterclasses for Laurie Smukler, the Takács Quartet, American String Quartet and the St. Lawrence String Quartet. Adam spent last summer as a quartet fellow at Madeline Island Chamber Music where his quartet was chosen for an artistic residency in Minnesota this past November.
Adam is currently pursuing a Masters degree from DePaul University studying with Professor Janet Sung. In 2017, he graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison where he served as the violinist in the Perlman Scholarship Piano Trio. Previous teachers include Soh-Hyun Park Altino, Eugene Purdue, Leslie Shank, Felicia Moye and Young-Nam Kim.
