Chilean violist Sergio Muñoz is an advocate for dialogue, collaboration, chamber music, and education. His long term dream is to create an organization that will provide chamber music education to young Chilean musicians and will revitalize the chamber music scene in Chile. As a trilingual citizen of the world, Sergio finds inspiration in the fascinating subtleties of language, semantics, and their relationship to music. Sergio’s principal teachers include Carol Rodland, Kim Kashkashian, Dimitri Murrath, David Holland, and Penelope Knuth. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts as a C. V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School.
