Winner of the Hellam Young Artists’ Competition and the Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition, clarinetist Graeme Steele Johnson has appeared recently as a soloist and chamber musician at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Music Mountain Festival, among others. In recent summers, he led the Caroga Lake and Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestras in concertos by Copland and Mozart, and in 2019 he will appear with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra as soloist for Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto.
Johnson holds two degrees from the Yale School of Music, where he was twice awarded the school’s Alumni Association Prize.
