Inspired by her older brother, Eliza began violin at the age of 2. She has since received her Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music and her Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School. Eliza spent three summers as a violin fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, where she was awarded the 2018 Jules C. Reiner Violin Prize and performed as concertmaster and principal second under Andris Nelsons. A dedicated chamber musician, Eliza has attended Music@Menlo, Madeline Island Chamber Music, and Kneisel Hall. Her teachers include Lucie Robert, Carolyn Huebl, and Laurie Smukler. Eliza is currently a violin academist in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich, Germany.
