Zachary Pulse is a musician, writer, teaching artist, and curator based in the Hudson Valley of New York. A champion of new music, he fosters collaborations with living composers and has commissioned several works that exhibit the oboe and the voice. Along with his partner, Max, Zach hosts artist residencies and salon concerts at the Fishkill Ridge Creative Arts Retreat. As a complement to his musical life, Zach enjoys reading, vegetarian cooking, gardening, and hiking with his dogs, Otter and Gaia. He holds degrees from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
