Dr. Dillon Meacham is an accomplished bassoonist, teacher, and recording engineer whose diverse career includes performing as principal bassoonist of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, regular appearances with the Hartford, New Haven, Norwalk, and Venice Symphonies, and serving as faculty at Adelphi and Molloy Universities. As a soloist, Dr. Meacham gave the acclaimed premiere of Michael Torke’s ‘West’ Concerto with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, and performed the Eric Ewazen Concerto with the Old Dominion University Wind Ensemble. He earned his doctorate from Stony Brook University, and also holds degrees from the Yale School of Music, The Juilliard School, and the Peabody Conservatory, with the privilege of studying with Frank Morelli, Phillip Kolker, and Barbara Duke.
