Dr. Susan Bengtson Price is a passionate performer and educator who is energized by a varied career of collaboration and new musical discoveries. Highlights from the past season include performances with the ATLYS String Quartet, the KAIA String Quartet, saxophonist Jimmy Farace, the chamber orchestra Camerata Chicago, the Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Mid-Columbia Symphony performing the Bartok viola concerto. A committed educator, Susan is the viola professor at Carthage College and serves as the viola faculty at Birch Creek Summer Music Academy. She holds a D.M.A. from Boston University, an M.M. from Northwestern University, and a B.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
