Tim has a wide range of experience within the classical music world. As a teacher, he has given guest lectures for Yale’s School of Music, School of Forestry, Institute of Sacred Music, and Center for Engineering Innovation and Design. He has also led classes at the Hartt School of Music and the New Haven Chamber Orchestra. Most recently, he co-authored and designed “Resounding Brass,” a publication by the Morris Steinert Collection of Musical Instruments that traces the evolution of brass instruments. As a performer, Tim has played with ensembles such as the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the New World Symphony, and the New York Chamber Soloists. He previously operated a reed-making business, having sold thousands of oboe reeds worldwide, and received the New England Conservatory’s Entrepreneurial Musicianship Alumni Award in 2019. Currently he is on faculty at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven and works in business operations for the Yale School of Music.
