Caroga Arts Ensemble, directed by cellist Kyle Price, is comprised of top young professional musicians from around the country who have been part of the Caroga Lake Music Festival. Performers include top competition prizewinners, School of Music faculty and members of America’s leading orchestras and chamber groups.
At the age of nineteen in 2012, Price founded the Caroga Lake Music Festival at his grandmother’s home in the Adirondacks of Caroga Lake, NY. After five successful seasons, Caroga Arts Collective, the nonprofit parent organization, was formed in 2016. This season, Caroga Arts Collective presents the National Summer Cello Institute, InterArts Symposium, MyHil Film Series, year-round Artist Residencies, and the 8th annual Caroga Lake Music Festival which will feature over a hundred accomplished musicians at more than forty events throughout the five weeks. Caroga Arts Ensemble recently presented a weeklong educational residency at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) and performed at the Chicago’s Symphony Center, Maverick Concert Series, L.L. Bean’s Summer in the Park Series, Proctors Theater and TED-x Oaklawn.
Future engagements for Caroga Arts Ensemble include a performance of Bernstein’s Songfest at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL in June 2019 and a return to the Maverick Concert Series in August 2019.
