SPACE In-School Program

Inaugural SPACE Education Program Recap

This Spring, Caroga Arts completed the first phase of our String Project & Arts Collaborative Education (SPACE) Program at Wheelerville Union Free School and Johnstown High School. In March, we expanded to integrate 6th graders from Knox Middle School into the Program and recently incorporated 4th & 5th graders at Wheelerville as well. A culmination concert in mid-May celebrated all participants on this semester’s SPACE program.

Congratulations to our 2024 SPACE Program students!

As for the next step to expand string education throughout Fulton County, we are working with the Gloversville School District to provide the SPACE program in their school district this coming Fall. To start this collaboration, artists participating in the Spring Residency presented and performed for Boulevard Elementary School grades 3-5. The Resident Artists had the students engage in creating art and/or poems while performing for the students. The creations were outstanding and profound!

Stay tuned for more information about the 2024-2025 SPACE Program!
