Bill Ackerbauer performs an eclectic repertoire of acoustic roots music, both as a solo performer and with his bands, The Insolent Willies and The Doghouse Carpenters. His original songs reflect the many walks of life in his native region, which spans New York’s Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Foothills. A roots-music enthusiast with one foot planted in the folk world and the other splashing in the river of rock-and-blues, he is an acoustic guitarist who dabbles in harmonica, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and other instruments.
Bill’s solo releases — “Discovery,” an EP of original songs, and “Chicken Milk & Other Mysteries,” a full-length album of original and traditional tunes for “kids of all ages” — are available at https://smokinbill.bandcamp.com/

Bill enjoys performing for kids and families, sometimes with accompaniment from his son Finnegan. (Be sure to check out “Chicken Milk!”)
