Oboist Timothy Feil has performed with ensembles such as the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New World Symphony, and New York Chamber Soloists. In addition to performing, Tim operates a reed-making business that has sold thousands of oboe reeds across the world, for which he was awarded the New England Conservatory’s Entrepreneurial Musicianship Alumni Award. As a teacher, he has recently given guest classes about reed making and musical instrument manufacturing for the Yale School of Music, Yale Center for Engineering and Innovative Design, and New Haven Chamber Orchestra. Currently, he is the Financial Assistant at the Yale School of Music and was previously a Curatorial Assistant.
