Stephen Hawkey is a cellist based in Indianapolis, where he is a tenured member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performing with the ISO, he also is adjunct professor of cello at the University of Indianapolis and Anderson University. Prior to his time in Indianapolis, Stephen received a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and then went on to receive his master’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio. In addition to music, Stephen is an avid fan of soccer and tennis, and enjoys spending time with his orange tabby, Simba.
