David Roode studied music at Duquesne University and was 2nd trombonist of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra from 2002-2007. A desire to study abroad led him to complete a Post Graduate Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2007.
After graduating from the RAM, David has worked with many of the leading British orchestras, including the BBC Symphony, Hálle, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic and BBC Scottish Symphony.
In the USA, he has worked with the Cincinnati Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony and is currently principal trombonist of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and an associate musician with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
