A native of Syracuse, NY, trumpeter and composer Aaron DuBois was formerly acting assistant principal trumpet of the Louisiana Philharmonic in 2023. Mr. DuBois has also performed with the Syracuse Orchestra, South Bend Symphony, Elmhurst Symphony, and Chautauqua Symphony, as well as Josh Groban, Celtic Woman, Tower of Power, and Lettuce among others. Mr. DuBois holds a Master’s from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor’s with Distinction in Research and Creative Works from Rice University. His teachers include David Bilger, Thomas Rolfs, Michael Sachs, Charlie Geyer, Barbara Butler, John Raschella, and Micah Wilkinson. An avid composer, Mr. DuBois has written for a variety of ensembles and had over half a dozen works commissioned, with concert performances across the US and abroad.
