Mark Grisez serves as Principal Trumpet of the Columbus Symphony. He has previously performed as Acting Associate Principal Trumpet of the San Francisco Symphony, Trumpet Fellow with the New World Symphony, and guest member of the Dallas Brass. He studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Rice University, and he shares his thoughts on musicianship and practice in an online video series called The Curious Musician. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, rock climbing, curating a collection of fine pencils, and reading too many books.
