Violinists Maya Maalouf began her musical studies at the age of four and has since performed in venues throughout the US, the Middle East and Europe. She holds degrees in violin performance from Eastman School of Music and the Catholic University of America and her principle teachers include Charles Castleman and Amy Beth Horman. Passionate about education, she also completed a master’s degree in Education Policy and Administration at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and has certification in the Suzuki violin pedagogical approach. In addition to performing, Maya currently teaches music history and writing at AUB and runs a private Suzuki violin studio in Beirut, Lebanon.
