Houston-based violist, Tonya Burton is an active chamber musician who plays regularly with Apollo Chamber Players, Monarch Chamber Players, Kinetic Ensemble, Musiqa and Aperio. She is a Wammie award winner for ‘Best Classical Artist’ and her debut album featuring Max Reger’s solo viola works was awarded ‘Best Classical Song’ in 2022. She currently serves on the faculty at Sam Houston State University.
