Zachary Pulse is a musician and teaching artist based in the Hudson Valley of New York. A champion of new music, he has commissioned several works that exhibit the oboe and the voice. His duo, So Much Hot Air — with mezzo-soprano, Jennifer Beattie — was recently in residence with the Yale College Composition Seminar. At home, Zach and his partner, Max, run the Fishkill Ridge Creative Arts Retreat, hosting artist residencies and salon concerts. Zach serves on the Board of Directors for the Howland Chamber Music Circle in Beacon, NY. He holds degrees from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
