Madison, WI, based violinist Wes Luke is a member of the Madison Symphony and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, for whom he is pre-concert lecturer. He makes frequent sub appearances with other orchestras around the Midwest, including the Milwaukee Symphony and, in this last season, as Guest Concertmaster for the Peoria, IL, and Dubuque, IA Symphonies. He is the Concertmaster of the La Crosse, WI, Symphony and is the first violinist of the Ancora String Quartet, with whom he frequently appears live on Wisconsin Public Radio. In 2019 was named “Classical Performer of the Year” by the Madison Area Music Association. He has taught at numerous colleges and universities and holds degrees from UW-Madison and the New England Conservatory of Music.
