Praised for her “full bodied, rich, and warm tone” (Cleveland.com), violinist and educator Ann Yu finds limitless inspiration in exploring multiple genres and musical styles in the historical and modern musical worlds, leading her to unique and groundbreaking projects with the Poiema Trio, the Caroga Arts Collective, Project: Music Heals Us, CLE Concierto, Resonance Master Series, and Apollo’s Fire, where she is a Young Arts Fellow. She received her bachelors and masters degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music and currently studies baroque violin with Julie Andrijeski and Alan Choo. For fun, Ann loves scouring vintage stores and farmers markets, exploring the outdoors, and dancing lindy hop and blues.
