Philadelphia native Genevieve Tabby, first picked up the cello after being inspired by her twin sister’s violin lessons at the age of eight, and they continue to enjoy performing alongside each other professionally in ATLYS!
Her dazzling playing has won her a place on top concert halls around the country, including Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, Harris Concert Hall in Aspen, and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. Continuing her professor’s legacy, the world-renowned Hans Jensen, Genevieve is featured in his internationally acclaimed pedagogical resource called CelloMind.
Currently, Ms. Tabby teaches a large private studio, freelances, and records cello tracks for albums, video games, tv, and film, and recently featured on major Hollywood motion picture, ‘Heart of Champions and multi-award winning documentary ‘Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche,’ amongst many other independent films.
