Violinist Rebecca Benjamin, a native of Warsaw IN, is an engaging and versatile musician who has made appearance across the United States. An avid chamber musician, Ms. Benjamin currently plays in a string quartet based in New York City. She has also participated in the Prussia Cove Masterclasses, the Perlman Music Program, the Aspen Music Festival Wu Han/David Finkel Chamber Studio, the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, the Mimir Chamber Music Festival, the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar and has been coached by members of the Juilliard, Brentano, Cleveland, Orion, Pacifica and Cavani String Quartets. Rebecca is pursuing a graduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Jaime Laredo and William Preucil. Previous teachers include Joel Smirnoff and Almita and Roland Vamos. Ms. Benjamin performs on an 1890 Giovanni Pistucci violin on generous loan from Mr. Henry Choi and the Doublestop Foundation. Aside from her musical studies, Rebecca loves nature and photography.
