Allyson is a passionate and enthusiastic violist from Boulder, Colorado. She performs regularly with ensembles around the Boulder and Denver Metro Areas such as Sphere Ensemble, Boulder Philharmonic, Boulder Symphony, Playground Ensemble, and more. In addition to performing, Allyson teaches privately and at El Sistema Colorado, a music school for underserved families. She has spent enriching summers at the Tanglewood Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. Allyson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance from CU Boulder and Master’s Degree from the New England Conservatory. Her primary teachers are Cathy Basrak, Erika Eckert, and Geraldine Walther. Outside of music, Allyson enjoys practicing yoga, backpacking, and hiking with her dog, Ryder.
