Luis Eduardo Bellorín is a Venezuelan-American violist praised for his “impossibly sweet tone” (San Francisco Classical Voice). A founding member of the Thalea String Quartet (2014–2021), he has performed internationally and collaborated with artists like Caroline Shaw, Lawrence Power, and BADBADNOTGOOD. He was a top prize winner at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and held residencies at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel (Belgium). Now based in Austin, Texas, Luis is the newest violist of the Austin Symphony, a Sphinx MPower Artist Grant recipient, and co- founder of the conductorless orchestra—Austin Unconducted.
