Franco-American violist, Jossalyn Jensen, began her study of the viola at age 4 making her first solo appearance with orchestra at age 9. She has since performed in concert across the United States, Europe and Asia. Ms. Jensen counts Christian Tetzlaff, Steven Isserlis and Jean-Guihen Queyras among her chamber music partners. In 2019, she was appointed principal viola of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris.
Jossalyn holds degrees from the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), The Juilliard School and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is the recipient of a Fulbright Grant to France and the Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Arts Award. She currently plays Antoine Tamestit’s Vatelot viola on generous loan from the Fondation Anima.
