A native of Syracuse, NY, trumpeter and composer Aaron DuBois has most recently performed as acting Assistant Principal/Third Trumpet of the Louisiana Philharmonic. Mr. DuBois has also performed with Symphoria, the Elmhurst Symphony, and the Chautauqua Symphony, as well as Josh Groban, Celtic Woman, Tower of Power, and Lettuce among others. Mr. DuBois most recently studied at Northwestern University, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction in Research and Creative Works from Rice University. His teachers include David Bilger, Thomas Rolfs, Michael Sachs, Charlie Geyer, Barbara Butler, John Raschella, and Micah Wilkinson. An avid composer, Mr. DuBois has written for a variety of ensembles and has had over half a dozen works commissioned, having studied independently in 2021 with Pierre Jalbert at Rice on a full Dean’s scholarship.
