Recognized by his “powerful tone” and “effortless performance” (International Trumpet Guild), Alex Mayon is currently the Principal Trumpet of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Mayon has also performed with the London Symphony, Utah Symphony, Britt Fest, Arizona MusicFest, New World Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Mobile Symphony, Meridian Symphony, and Baton Rouge Symphony. Recently, he has been a finalist for positions with Atlanta Symphony, London Symphony, Chicago Lyric Opera, Columbus Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Richmond Symphony, and Charleston Symphony.

Alex holds a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Loyola University New Orleans, where he now teaches as an adjunct faculty member.
