Annie Barnette is a violinist and educator known for her expressive chamber playing and student-centered teaching. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and a doctoral candidate at the University of North Texas, she has performed across the U.S. and Europe, including two European tours with the Baroque ensemble “Fantasmi”. In 2015, Annie founded West Denver Suzuki Strings, a thriving music program that provides high-quality instruction and works to build musical community in her hometown. Her playing and teaching are deeply influenced by her own mentors, including William Starr, David Updegraff, Ivan Ženatý, and Julia Bushkova.
