Benjamin Herrington is a founding member of Meridian Arts Ensemble, which has performed over 1000 concerts throughout 16 countries, recorded 15 CDs and, over the past 39 years, received awards and accolades too numerous to mention. In addition to his 35 years of freelancing and teaching in New York, Mr. Herrington is prolific in the field of contemporary chamber music, premiering and recording dozens of new offerings from composers representing every continent. In recent years he has been focused on jazz and other improvisatory performance. Mr. Herrington trained at Juilliard and New England Conservatory.
