Dr. Carrie Blosser is a trumpet instrumentalist with Navy Band Northwest in Silverdale, Washington, performing over 100 concerts annually for military, educational, and diplomatic audiences. She co-founded Diversify the Stand, a diversity-focused resource for brass musicians, and Calypsus Brass, a professional all-women doctoral chamber ensemble. Dr. Blosser serves on the Boards of the International Trumpet Guild, National Trumpet Competition, and Editor of the International Women’s Brass Conference Newsletter. A dedicated educator, she teaches private students, gives masterclasses nationwide, and previously directed bands in Texas and Colorado. She holds a DMA from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
