Often likened to an inflatable tube man, Eva Ding is a Shanghai-born, Auckland-raised, and New York-based flutist and multidisciplinary artist known for her dynamic stage presence. Through innovative multimedia chamber music productions, she explores AAPI and immigrant narratives, blending music, new media, technology, and choreography. Eva is the founder and artistic director of Orchestra Q, a conductorless chamber orchestra based in Queens, NYC, and co-founder of KOE, a flute-cello duo commissioning works by AAPI and immigrant composers. Her performances range from playing with Jon Batiste at Carnegie Hall to opening the musical festivities for pro-wrestler Orange Cassidy at Independent Wrestling TV’s ‘Family Reunion. Offstage, she enjoys time with her poodle Chocco and cats Marigold and Peridot.
