About this Event

 

As CLMF founder Kyle’s sister, Stephanie has seen the festival from day one and has been a dedicated CLMF Artist for almost 10 years!

Alix met Kyle when she was in 6th grade through his aunt Connie who was Alix’s orchestra teacher. Since then, Alix’s connection with Kyle’s family grew through spending summers together at Caroga Lake Music Festival.

Happy Hour Music QuaranTalk offers a fun opportunity to get to know our CLMF Artists and learn more about music and performance. Talks may include discussions on the life of an artist, their experience at Caroga Lake Music Festival, and more. Join us for an interactive musical talk and enjoy from your home with a glass of wine or your favorite drink!

 

QuaranTalks are open to the public and welcome all ages.

Donations to our virtual tip jar will be split between our special guests and Caroga Arts. Any amount is appreciated!

 

Stephanie Price-Wong

Stephanie Price-Wong grew up in a musical and arts administrative family that instilled and nurtured her passion in the art, performance, and education of chamber music. She is currently the Assistant Artistic Director and Fellowship Program Director of the Chamber Music Connection based in Worthington, Ohio. Stephanie also runs a private viola and violin studio and is the Adjunct Viola Professor at Ohio University. In addition to her work in Ohio, she is the Artistic Administrator for Caroga Arts Collective and the Administrative Director of the National Summer Cello Institute. Stephanie has been a performing artist at CLMF since it’s founding in 2012 and went on tour in Switzerland with CLMF. She received a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music with a certificate in Arts Leadership. In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she was the recipient of the Alumni Jim Hall Graduate Studies Scholarship. Stephanie currently resides in Westerville, Ohio where she enjoys spending time with her son, Felix (yes, named after Mendelssohn!), husband, David, and dog, Bridget.

 

Alix Raspé Gray

Alix Raspé Gray, professionally known as Alix Raspé, is an award-winning classical harpist, chamber musician, music educator and musical entrepreneur. Alix currently serves as an Associate Harpist for Columbus Symphony. Alix has performed with New World Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the NY Pops, the Symphony of New Hampshire, Symphoria, Portsmouth Symphony and more. While maintaining her own thriving teaching studio, Alix also coaches harp and chamber music for Chamber Music Connection (CMC) and also serves as their Marketing Director. Alix was formerly on the faculty of Note-Worthy Experiences from 2018-2019 as their harp teacher, as well as the Harp Specialist at The Harp Connection. In 2018, Alix was a Harp Fellow at Tanglewood Music Center.

Alix graduated from New England Conservatory with a Masters in Harp Performance and New York University with a Bachelor of Music with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. Prior to attending NYU, Alix attended Juilliard Pre-College. Alix currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Erik, and their miniature Australian Shepherd, Ollie.
