Mini Showcase Concert – 2025 Winter SPACE
March 16 @ 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm
Join us for an informal mid-semester showcase concert featuring 2025 Winter SPACE students from Wheelerville Union Free School, Gloversville, & Johnstown school districts—plus enjoy sweet and savory snacks to share throughout!
The concert will conclude with fiddle tunes and a mini workshop by internationally acclaimed violin & violist Tania Halko Susi.
Tania Halko Susi is an innovative musician who is capable of playing multi styles on the violin and viola. Following the completion of earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the Juilliard School, Tania has worked in various settings and genres on both violin and viola.
Performing credentials include chamber music at Barge Music in Brooklyn, The Apollo Theatre in Harlem, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, MOMA’s Summer Garden series with the New Juilliard Ensemble and New York University’s Microtonal Festival. Some of Tania’s international appearances include New York Symphonic Ensembles tour of the U.S. and Japan, performing in Suntory Hall, Tokyo and Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Her commercial music appearances include appearing on MTV with Bryan Adams, and performing with the first ever tour of Trans-Siberian Orchestra in 1999-2000.
Tania is also passionate about making music accessible to audiences. Granted by New York State Council of the Arts, Community Arts Grant, she created and performed her own children’s concert series at Saratoga Arts Center and formulated concert programs for Homeless Shelters in Albany, New York, VA Hospitals, Teen Treatment Centers and Food Shelters.
Tania has been a dedicated instructor and has served on Faculty at the College of Saint Rose and as a sectionals coach at Empire State Youth Orchestra.
