Aaron Mossburg, violist, completed his undergraduate studies at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with Peter Slowik, and master’s degree from CIM with Robert Vernon. Aaron has studied and performed at other such festivals as the Perlman Music Program, Verbier Festival, Pacific Music Festival, Kneisel Hall, and the Sarasota Music Festival.
In 2011, Aaron gave a solo recital at Carnegie Hall. Shortly thereafter, he received top honors in the senior divisions of both the ASTA National Solo Competition in NYC and the Ohio Viola Society Competition. He has performed chamber music and orchestral concerts in such places as the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, and the Dominican Republic.
Aaron just completed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Symphony and is currently a tenured member of the Rochester Philharmonic. He has also subbed frequently with other orchestras such as the Indianapolis Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, and The Cleveland Orchestra.
