Violinist Marisa Ishikawa is a performer, entrepreneur, and educator based in Houston, TX. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Jordan Hall, and throughout Europe and China. In 2016, she co-founded the chamber music organization Austin Camerata, which expands classical music audiences through creative collaborations and inclusive concert experiences. In 2021, she co-founded the Opus 1 Chamber Music School, where students benefit from chamber music coachings, masterclasses, performances, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities. Dr. Ishikawa holds a B.M., a B.S. in Business Administration, and a D.M.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as an M.M. from the University of Texas at Austin. Her primary teachers included Charles Wetherbee and Brian Lewis.
