Wes Luke is the Concertmaster of the La Crosse (WI) Symphony Orchestra and makes regular concerto appearances with the group. Wes is also a section violinist in the Madison Symphony and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, for whom he is pre-concert lecturer. A frequent recitalist, he is the first violinist of the Ancora String Quartet, with whom he has often appeared live on Wisconsin Public Radio. In 2019 was named “Classical Performer of the Year” by the Madison Area Music Association. He has taught at numerous colleges and universities and holds degrees from UW-Madison and the New England Conservatory of Music.
