Alex Moffat is an actor and comedian who spent six seasons as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. A breakout performer on the show, he became known for his impersonations of Joe Biden, Eric Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Anderson Cooper, and Joe Scarborough, as well as his beloved original recurring Weekend Update character, Guy Who Just Bought a Boat. A Chicago native, Moffat honed his craft on the city’s famed comedy circuit as a performer at The Second City, ImprovOlympic, and Annoyance Theatre before earning his spot on SNL.
Since leaving SNL in 2022, Moffat has steadily built an impressive screen and stage career. His film credits include Susie Searches, Christmas with the Campbells, and Netflix’s Holidate, and he can be seen in Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey alongside Vince Vaughn. In 2023, he made his Broadway debut in The Cottage, and most recently starred in the new Off-Broadway musical Bigfoot! in early 2026.
Caroline Kingsley is a New York-based comedian and the creator and star of The Violet Hour, a one-woman show in which she plays the character Winifred Coombe. Rau met her husband Alex Moffat at a commercial audition in Chicago in 2012. This show marks a rare opportunity to see the couple share the stage together.
Brian Shank is a composer, percussionist, and musicologist. A winner of the prestigious Cone Composition institute in 2018, his work has been performed internationally by ensembles such as the Rome Opera Choir and New Jersey Symphony, as well as permanently featured at the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo in Rome. As a percussionist, Shank specializes in performing electroacoustic works. Steeped in the French harmonic and contrapuntal tradition of Nadia Boulanger, his teachers include Philip Lasser, David Conte, Daniel Druckman, Gordon Gottlieb, and Richard Albagli. He holds degrees from The Juilliard School (B.M. Percussion) and San Francisco Conservatory (M.M. Composition). He is currently a PhD candidate in History and Theory of Music at UC Irvine, where he teaches, develops curriculum, and researches the interrelationship of the arts in the music of Henri Dutilleux. A member of the Caroga Arts Collective since 2018, he helps facilitate the orchestraโs collaborations with visiting artists as an arranger and versatile percussionist.
